Thing 2: Photos and Images

I do not personally use any photo sharing website.  This is mostly due to the fact that I do not take or keep many pictures.  I often take a photo, text it to someone, and then delete it.  I'm sure that if I were taking photos for my job or of my family then these types of sites are probably beneficial.

I chose to open a Flickr account and upload some recent photos of my house that I am building with my dad.  The process was very simple and quick to do.  It will be interesting to see if I continue to upload photos of the house to Flickr as we make more progress.

I was very pleased with the final color of my front door!  It was a bold decision and is not loved by all members of my family, but I could not be happier.

This is what the door looks like with a wider view of the house.  There are still parts to the front porch that are unfinished, but those should be complete by the end of June.

This photo was taken as the sun was going down which is the reason for the poor photo quality.  However, this was the end of a long evening spent hanging the shutters.  I was very happy to get that finished because it is the closest thing as to what the final exterior will look like.

I have a separate blog for my house project, littlehousebigdesign.blogspot.com, but have not posted anything to it in almost a year.  I hope this summer allows me some time to update that site.

Thing 1: Blogging

I am about to start a new job as the K-2 ELA Campus Instructional Specialist at Lamar Elementary in GCCISD.  I have previously been a classroom teacher, so this is an entirely new experience for me and I am very excited!  I am currently building a new house with my dad as my builder and hope to move in by the fall.  I am one of the lead worship singers at my church and that takes up a lot of my "free" time.

I am doing the 23 things activity as part of my master's degree program and look forward to learning new web tools to use in my new job as well as my future library job.
